Environmental
Site Assessments
(Phase
I)
The Environmental
Site Assessment (ESA) involves a detailed investigation of environmental hazard
potential by inspecting the site and the sorrounding area, and reviewing information
contained in historical and current records. In performing such research,
The Enviro Group will meet the latest American Society for Testing & Materials
(ASTM) Standard E-1527-00 requirements.
To determine
the environmental hazard potential, The Enviro Group will ascertain the existence
and location of:
- Uderground Storage
Tanks (USTs)
- Leaking Underground
Storage Tanks (LUSTs)
- Open and closed landfills
- Large Quantity Hazardous
Waste Generators (LQG)
- Hazardous waste Treatment,
Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDF)
- Drinking water wells
and dry wells
The on-site inspection
will include:
- Evidence of hydrocarbon
contamination
- Use of lead based
paints and solders
- Water supply systems
- Suspected asbestos
sources
- Radon testing
- Topographic, hydrologic,
and geologic data of site and vicinity
- Aerial photographs
- Prior maps
The comprehensive Environmental
Site Assessment report will include the following:
- Description and current
usage of the site
- Site vicinity and
current usage
- On-site environmental
inspection report
- Regional and local
groundwater contamination
- CERCLA investigations
and data system list
- General site history
and ownership review
- City directory listings
- Site development Records
